Directions to Kerlividic
Kerlividic is situated in the heart of Brittany and is therefore easily accessible from all of the channel crossing points. The approximate road distances and average driving times from the major channel crossing points are:
- Calais – approx 670 km / 6½ hours;
- Dieppe – approx 540km / 5½ hours
- Le Havre – approx 430km / 4½ hours;
- Caen – approx 340km / 4 hours;
- Cherbourg – approx 380km / 4½ hours;
- St. Malo – approx 160km / 2 hours; and
- Roscoff – approx 120km / 2 hours.

- LD Lines/Transmanche - Newhaven to Le Havre; Newhaven to Dieppe; Portsmouth to Le Havre
- Condor Ferries – Weymouth to St. Malo
- Brittany Ferries – Portsmouth to St. Malo; Portsmouth to Caen; Portsmouth to Cherbourg; Poole to Cherbourg; Plymouth to Roscoff and Cork to Roscoff
- Eurotunnel – Folkstone to Calais
- Irish Ferries – Rosslare to Roscoff and Rosslare to Cherbourg
For those who prefer not to drive all the way, the regional airports of Brest, Dinard, Lorient, Nantes and Rennes are all served by various UK and Irish low cost airlines which gives a practical alternative to driving from home:
Airlines
- Ryanair - Operate from various UK regional airports, including East Midlands, London Stanstead and London Luton into Brest, Dinard and Nantes.
- Flybe – Operate from various UK regional airports including Birmingham, Exeter, Manchester and Southampton into Brest,and Rennes
- Aer Arann - Operate from several Irish airports and also from London Luton into Lorient
The summer and winter schedules are very different, do check route availability well in advance, particular if you are travelling out of peak season.
All of the airports have car hire agencies – advance booking is of course essential, particularly during the peak holiday times. Kerlividic is about 2 hours drive from all the airports except Lorient which is only 45minutes.
We provide some reasonably detailed route guidance in good time prior to the scheduled arrival date since not everyone has Satnav; also we understand from comments from previous guests that not all Satnav systems are geared up for finding locations in the more rural parts of France.
